Switching provider

Moving your phone or broadband to us, or away from us, should be simple. Here is how it works.

Home customers: One Touch Switch

For home broadband and landline, Ofcom’s One Touch Switch process means you only need to contact the provider you are moving to. They arrange the switch, your current provider sends you the information you need (such as any early termination charges), and the new provider confirms the date. You should not be charged notice-period charges for the old service beyond the switch date. Ofcom explains the process at ofcom.org.uk.

Business customers: moving your numbers

We port numbers in and out using the industry processes. If you leave us, we will not unreasonably hold up a port-out, and we give your new provider the information they need once everything due has been paid. Numbers we provided that are not ported away within 30 days of the service ending may be recovered and reused, so please arrange the port before then.

Minimum terms and notice

Each ongoing service has a minimum term, shown on your order and running from the date the service goes live. After that it continues until either of us ends it on 30 days’ notice. Ending during a minimum term means an early termination charge, worked out as set out on our price guide. You pay nothing to leave if we have broken the contract and not put it right, or if we increase the price after your minimum term.
